A touching moment here at the Mike Fahnestock State Farm Shootout. The Oilers Girls Basketball team did a basket raffle and donated all $1,500 to Rory Guss. She is the daughter of referee Ethan Guss and fighting cancer.

Friday, February 7
**EAWR Student Council is participating in a pajama drive between now and the District Convention next Wednesday. They are looking for donations of new pajamas size newborn to children's XL. If you have a donation, please get them to Mrs. Timmins or Mr. Daniels by next Tuesday.
**Seniors: Tomorrow, EAWR is hosting a 14 team basketball shootout. Seniors can earn up to 12 hours for volunteering from 9:30 am-9:30 pm. Volunteers will be helping with different tasks such as concessions, hospitality room, etc. If you can't volunteer the whole time, please note that next to your name when you sign up in the google doc shared by Mrs. Robinson. If you can only work a portion of that day please note the times next to your name.
**Just a reminder that NHS applications are due today at 2:30 pm!
Current members inducted last year do not need to reapply.
**The TeenMental Health First Aid Leadership team is once again hosting a Mindful Monday Yoga Session during Academic Lab on Monday, February 10th. No experience necessary. For more information or to register, check out one of the flyers posted around school or stop by the Guidance Office.
**Student council is selling Valentine Bears for $2. You can purchase a bear and write a message on the attached valentine to be delivered 1st hour on Valentine's day. There are a limited number of bears, and they will be sold during lunch next Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday or until sold out! Bears can also be purchased during academic lab from Mrs. Timmins or Mr. Daniels.
**Freshman mentor meetings are next Tuesday during academic lab. Only senior mentors and freshmen should move during academic lab--everyone else stays in their 3rd hour. Room assignments for freshmen have been shared in Google Drive.
**Themes for this week are:
Tonight--oil spill (wear black)--boys and girls basketball at Roxana
Tomorrow--maroon and gold--Basketball Shootout at home--all day


Here is our busy athletic schedule for the weekend. If coming to the Mike Fahnestock Shootout tomorrow, admission is $10 cash at the door, passes are not accepted, and there is no reserved seating. $10 is good for all day and a wrist band will be issued for re-entry.


🎯 The Mike Fahnestock Shootout is this Saturday at EAWR's Memorial Gym! Admission is $10. Spectators will receive a wristband that allows you to come and go as you please throughout the day. Please note that no passes will be accepted, and seating is first come, first serve.
