
Join us tomorrow by 1 PM to welcome home our 215 pound 1A State Champ Drake Champlin. We will welcome him back at the bus circle and do a presentation in the East Building Courtyard around 1pm. Congrats again, Drake, Coach Donohoo, and Coach Lankford on a tremendous season and career at EAWR.

We are so proud of Drake Champlin! The time to welcome back Drake at school will be announced a bit later as we work out the details with his departure from Champaign tomorrow morning. Watch for a posting later tonight or early tomorrow for our welcome back for our CHAMPION!

The next After Prom Parent Meeting for junior and senior parents is tomorrow, Friday the 21st at 6 PM at the Wood River Recreation Center.

Friday, February 21
**Guest forms for the King’s Dance are available outside Mrs. Timmins and Mr. Daniels rooms. Forms are due back by February 27th.
**Juniors--EAWR will be offering a series of 3 ACT prep sessions to prepare for the March 26th ACT Test. Each of the 3 sessions in the series will be offered twice (you only need to attend one of each) and juniors can sign up in the folder shared by Mrs. Robinson. If a student attends one math, one ELA, and one science session and completes the FAFSA senior year by April 1st, he or she will earn an additional semester exemption (6 absences) the second semester of their senior year, if passing.
**Seniors who need community service hours can sign up in the Attendance Office to help with Parent Teacher Conferences on Wednesday, February 26th and Thursday, February 27th from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
**The Renaissance Assembly that was originally scheduled for today will be moved to next Tuesday the 25th at 1 pm. Only students involved in the assembly will attend.

Congratulations to Wayne Harmon on his retirement from EAWR. We had a nice time celebrating him with lunch and a cake this afternoon. Enjoy your retirement Wayne.

We will be sending #1 ranked Drake Champlin off to State today! Meet at the bus circle at 2:40 and we will unlock the east building to stay warm while we wait for Drake and the police/fire escort to arrive.


Parent/Teacher Conferences–Wed, Feb 26th 4-7 pm and Thurs, Feb 27th from 4-6 pm.


Due to the current weather conditions, the district will be closed today, and classes will not be in session. We encourage students to use this time to check their Google Classrooms and continue working on their coursework.
This is also a great opportunity to catch up on any missing work or make progress in classes where you may be a little behind. Staying engaged with your assignments will help ensure you’re prepared when we return to school. Information about extracurriculars, games, and practices will be communicated later today.

There are no games scheduled for today. We had a lot of games over the three day weekend. Those results are included in today's post. Congratulations to Drake Champlin! He won the IHSA Sectional Championship at 215 lbs. He will travel to Champaign Wed. for the State Finals!
